Rebate Qualifications

This rebate applies for the replacement of an existing indoor geothermal source heat pump. To qualify for this rebate, the new indoor unit must have at least a 3 EER improvement over the old unit.

 
To complete this online application, you will need to have the rebate payment address, installation address, installation date, brand, model, serial number, tons of capacity, and the rated EER efficiency. You will need to complete some survey questions on the property where the unit is installed. And you will be asked to upload a copy of your original dated and detailed invoice or receipt, and a copy of your AHRI certificate.
 
The rated EER proof of efficiency is determined by the unit’s AHRI certificate which you can obtain from your dealer/installer, or you may search and download by CLICKING HERE




Important Terms & Conditions


  • Member must be in good standing with the Cooperative.
  • Submit within 90 days of purchase.
  • Equipment must be installed by a certified dealer and must have at least a 3 EER improvement over the old unit.
  • Electric back-up heat MUST be separated from the ground source unit with a separate breaker.
  • The system must be sized based on the heating capacity derived from the Manual J Residential Load Calculation.
  • Ground source system must be installed with specific Delta T calculations supported by a Manual J Residential Load Calculation published by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America as follows: North of the Missouri River = 80; South of the Missouri River = 70. As your HVAC contractor verify that these requirements are met.
  • The cooperative may inspect the facility to determine if R-38 insulation is present in the ceiling and R-13 in the walls.
  • DX (direct expansion) ground source heat pump installations are not eligible for rebates.
  • Rebates are limited to a maximum of 50 tons commercial and 10 tons residential per facility.
  • The unit must be installed where electricity is supplied by the cooperative.
  • The structure in which the member resides must be a permanent structure on a permanent foundation on the land owned by the member.
  • Rebates are limited to eligible services (homes, lake homes, shops, barns, etc.) that purchase more than 6,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity from the cooperative on an annual basis.
  • Rebates may be subject to load control programs. The participant agrees to allow the cooperative to control their heating and cooling equipment now or in the future.
  • Please allow 6-8 weeks for processing.
  • Please keep a copy for your records.
  • Please complete a separate application for each installation site.

The cooperative will not rebate equipment that has been mislabeled, misrepresented, or previously owned. The cooperative reserves the right to inspect the equipment and its installation at the address indicated on the front of this application.  The cooperative is not responsible for any lost, late, stolen, ineligible, misdirected or postage due mail. All completed applications will become the property of the cooperative.  Rebate qualifications and amounts are subject to change at the cooperative’s discretion and the program may end at any time without notice.
