Your rebate application will be reviewed to ensure it satisfies all program policy. Please review the terms and conditions at the bottom of this page. The equipment must meet efficiency guidelines and is only eligible for one rebate per unit. Heating and cooling equipment must be installed by a licensed professional contractor and must be properly sized for space it is to serve.

What To Include With Your Rebate Application

It should take no longer than 8-10 minutes to complete this rebate application process as long as you have everything you to need to finish. That includes the name and address for the rebate payment and the name and address where the equipment has been installed. You will be asked to enter the installation date, serial number, AHRI number, and the rated AFUE. You will also be asked to upload a copy of your itemized invoice or detailed receipt that also has the model number listed on it.

The rated AFUE is the equipment’s annual fuel utilization efficiency. The AHRI number is the certification number for this rating. You can obtain these numbers from your dealer or through the AHRI directory by CLICKING HERE

By submitting this form electronically, you certify the provided information is truthful and accurate and that you have purchased and installed the identified equipment or completed the identified project. IMU reserves the right to withhold a rebate if any entries are found untruthful or inaccurate and may take extraordinary steps to validate the claims.

Proof of purchase is required and you will be prompted to upload a proof document into this application. The price of the efficient product/project for which you are applying for a rebate must be clearly shown separate from other charges. IMU reserves the right to reduce or deny the rebate if the proof document shows the equipment was purchased or the project was fulfilled at a substantial discount to standard rates. For the recycling rebate, proof of delivery to a landfill or recycling company is required.  Failure to provide the correct documentation will result in an application being sent back or denied.

After this application is received, IMU may elect to inspect the equipment or project to verify it qualifies.

You must be a customer of IMU, be eligible to participate in the rebate program, and energy efficiency funds must be available at the time you submit your application. New equipment must be purchased outright, and the claim must be filed within 90 days of the installation date and not after January 31st of the following year. IMU reserves the right to change, modify, or end any or all parts of the rebate program without notice.

IMU has no control over exogenous energy use factors including, but not limited to, consumer behavior and weather conditions, and cannot guarantee the high-efficiency equipment will result in reduced usage or in cost savings. IMU does not endorse any manufacturer, contractor, dealer, or design. IMU makes no warranties or representations of any kind regarding the equipment or any services provided in connection with this rebate program.

IMU liability will not exceed the amount of the rebate, and IMU is not liable for any equipment or services provided in connection with this rebate program, and in no event is IMU liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages in connection with this rebate program. You agree to indemnify, defend, hold harmless and release IMU from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or relating to the removal, disposal, installation or operation of any equipment or related materials in connection with the programs described in this application, including any incidental, special or consequential damages.
