Residential LED Lighting Rebates are limited to $500 per year, per structure. Must have a minimum of four (4) qualifying lamps and/or fixtures to receive a rebate. Commercial LED Lighting Rebates are limited to $2000 per year, per legal entity.

Customer Agreement
Your online submission indicates consent to, and agreement with, all program terms and conditions. It certifies that all information in this application is correct and that all of the listed new products have been purchased, installed and is operating at the indicated location. I understand that MPU reserves the right to inspect and verify installation before and after issuing payment.
Program Terms & Conditions
This rebate program is being offered by Mount Pleasant Municipal Utilities which will be referred to as “The Utility” throughout this page. Applicant must be a current electric customer of the Utility, unless otherwise stated. Governmental and Industrial rebates require pre-approval and rebate amount will be determined on a case-by-case basis. No rebate is allowed for new construction. Must have a minimum of 4 qualifying lamps and/fixtures to receive a rebate. For maximum product efficiency, MPU recommends that all LED's be ENERGY STAR or Design Light Consortium (DLC) certified.
The Utility does not guarantee that the installation and operation of energy efficiency equipment will result in reduced usage or demand or in cost savings. The Utility makes no warranties, expressed or implied, with respect to any equipment purchased and/or installed, including, but not limited to, any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. In no event shall the Utility be liable for any incidental or consequential damages or injuries resulting from defective equipment or installation. The rebates are offered on a first come, first served basis. The Utility reserves the right to cancel or change these programs at any time. The Utility’s acceptance of this application does not guarantee payment of the incentive. Prior to any payment of rebates, The Utility reserves the right to verify sales transactions. The Utility will not be responsible for any tax liability that may be imposed on the customer as a result of the payment of rebates. The Utility does not endorse any particular manufacturer, product, system design, claim or retailer in promoting this program.
General Terms & Conditions
Proof of purchase is required
you will be prompted to upload a proof document into this application. Utility
reserves the right to reduce or deny the rebate if the proof document shows the
equipment was purchased at a substantial discount to standard rates. For the
recycling rebate, proof of delivery to a landfill or recycling company is
required. Failure to provide the correct documentation will result in an
application being sent back or denied.
You may also be asked to
provide an efficiency certification number or to upload a proof of efficiency
document. Your dealer will be able to provide this you.
You must be a customer of
Utility, be eligible to participate in the rebate program, and energy
efficiency funds must be available at the time you submit your application. New equipment must be purchased
outright, and the claim must be filed within 90 days of the installation date
and not after January 31st of the following year.
Utility has no control over
exogenous energy use factors including, but not limited to, consumer behavior
and weather conditions, and cannot guarantee the high-efficiency equipment will
result in reduced usage or in cost savings. Utility does not endorse any
manufacturer, contractor, dealer, or design. Utility makes no warranties or
representations of any kind regarding the equipment, or any services provided
in connection with this rebate program.
Utility is not
responsible for any tax liability that may be imposed because of the payment of
incentives.
Support local
business. We ask that you procure your efficient products and services from a
local supplier, either based in Iowa or an adjacent county to Iowa.
Utility liability will not
exceed the amount of the rebate, and Utility is not liable for any equipment or services provided in connection with this rebate program, and in no event is the Utility liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages in connection with this rebate program. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless and release the utility from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from or relating to the removal, disposal, installation or operation of any equipment or related materials in connection with the programs described in this application, including incidental, special, or consequential damages.
